
It’s official; whilst I am no longer convinced for life that TVP would ever replace other meat based proteins.
Who knew cooking and preparing such dehydrated products could really need any work? A boiling water or just submerged then microwave for two minutes, season and that’s it.
But never have I actually realise all this time eating this supposedly healthiest alternative. How long has it been? 6 or so months.
I felt numb. I mean really, sedated “numb”.
It has never dawned on me ever that I have felt saddened by my own prior actions, understanding, perception and experiences over TVP; the previously aforementioned “king” of replace-able meat based or fish based proteins for practising vegans.
I felt numb.
I mean really numb in both gut and mind. Akin to somewhat a “slowing down” of your overall process of actually shuttling in your much needed glycogen to your muscles.
But eating with TVP ~ I felt slow.
I felt numb. Psychologically and physically – just ‘inactive’. Akin a to a slowing down of all my cognitive functions.
But at least I am coping.
That is all that mattered. Day in and out.
