If the above "disco lights" is any indication for me to be happy. Unfortunately it's anything but.

Potential year(s)+ worth of work...

Either unrecoverable. Irreparable. Or simply corrupted.

Nearing the last two and half (2) months have seen me trying to successfully backup my entire 1TB NVME drive, connected to my main work base ~ a humbly used Mac Mini M1 via a Volans® triple function dock (NVME enclosure, hub and display dock).

Time and time again every recent backup attempt has been failing. Random disconnects. Incomplete backups. Every first aid I can think of ~ buying entire replacement enclosure(s), entire dock replacement have not worked.

I am in the middle of salvaging what I can ~ from whatever latest and most recent is backed up to my time machine.

So what is at stake here? All my prior development and rough drafts Final Cut Pro X, including early promotional recording videos for the rebranding of this concept initiative.

As I recall, nearing 800 Gigabytes worth of items and media.  Compound clips, libraries, custom assets titles, transitions.

I shall provide another update, in due course.

Right now as I'm typing amidst what is supposedly my "staycation" holiday from work ~ I am sifting through patiently my Time Machine through each date's entry of backup attempt.

It is unknown whether I can fully recover and reinstate all the content that I have had not been able to revisit in Final Cut Pro X.

Hence, until I have found a somewhat consoling or less enthusiastic news, I'll share another update.

Kingston KC2500 ~ a questionable drive to get. I'd say be forewarned.

One "lesson" I may have to give in the meantime? Nothing is safe. Be prepared that you will at some stage below to one of very few % of misfortunes. No matter what you do.

Live-It-Forward,

AW.

After “meta-analysis”, and all references one collects, the only final “scientific” citation that truly matters, existentially and ultimately ~ is you. N=1.
