Live-it-forward, AW.<\/h6>\n<h2>\"Thoughts from real-life coaches?\"<\/h2>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">To date, many things remain both praised and questioned surrounding <strong>Refeeds<\/strong> <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=w20QO5RpkRI&amp;ab_channel=SSDAbel\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">(Helms, E, &amp; Trexler, E. 2021 [53:00 onwards]), <\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">(<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Cdi0wqsdwgk&amp;ab_channel=ReviveStronger\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Henselman, M. et al. 2021<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">).\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">However one key takeaway from all diet debates is the question of <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">pragmatism and adherence.\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">If neither linear or cyclical approach give \"superior\" statistic, <\/span><\/i><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">what criteria left is there arguably more important to debate? <b>Room for errors.<\/b>\u00a0 <\/span><\/i>Arguably \u2013 the Cyclical approach wins in this regard. Reword \"room for errors\" to room for opportunity(s) ~ should already sound more motivational. <span data-contrast=\"auto\">At least, we have evidence that cyclical approach is praised for\u00a0eliminating<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0nebulous indecisions whilst<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0allowing discipline + self-restraints to fruition\u00a0 (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=JzZW2iJqeLE&amp;ab_channel=SSDAbel\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Mcdonald, L. 2020<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0[43:00\u00a0onwards]<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Comparing to straight linear deficits ~ if the common goal is <strong>so simple<\/strong> as to \"eat less\", then there is practically <em><strong>no<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<em><strong>given<\/strong> <\/em>room for errors. It's black or white. Persistence, restraints, self-control, \u00a0can only work so much until it becomes <strong><em>a crisis of consent.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Can we have a few or some of these \"<strong>trigger\" foods<\/strong>? Just a bowl of ice cream or half a bucket? Three Cookies or a whole packet? Imagine if a coach is inundated with these questions over and over again.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The best This Author (AW)'s own prior years of experience can attest \u2013 eliminating all suspects is FAR easier for a planned period of time. Fasting enables authenticating \/ testifying our own selves at meeting challenges of life, without anyone's consent than our own reserves; glycogen amino acids and ketones, or 'nature' ~ do their course.<\/p>\n<p><i>What is important nonetheless at the end of the day is ownership and accountability. Take ownership for these room for errors or \"refeeds\" to tinker and explore what satiates and what doesn't,\u00a0what is easy to eat and what's isn't. What is simple to prepare and what is laborious. There are only so much \"labels\" (low carb, high carb, herbivore, carnivores, etc) one can include and\/or exclude in a plan for however # of days inbetween. All it takes is <a href=\"https:\/\/nutritional-humility.me\/oxystaging\/self-enquiry-journalling-tool-release-announcement-aug-2021-jan-2022\/\">self journalling,\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0a lot of reading, a lot of research and tinkering about yourself ~ critically. Sadly, far too often we see tribal-like divisions today that nutritional science has somehow evolved to little else than a question of \"loyalty\" amongst \"followers\" or \"subscribers\". <em>\"Whose side are you on? You are no longer one of us.\".<\/em><\/p>\n<p>No other sustenance method; only under the humble opinion of This Author (AW) - implores as much\u00a0<em>freedom<\/em> as Cyclical Keto + Intermittent Fasting.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>One defines the parameters, sets out what to exclude and include, and inevitably ~ takes all <strong>ownership both vice and virtues<\/strong>. This is not \"bias\". This is \"Science\", authenticated right down to <em><strong>individual<\/strong><\/em> level.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Another obvious one - hunger control amidst calorie restrictions. CKD+IF is sustainable so long as protein intakes remains within accessible (\"financial\") reach. A separate chapter &lt;&gt; is dedicated to inform readers the proteins' essentiality to both physiological, psychology whilst providing pragmatic alternatives amidst Nutritional Frugality.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">In the context of training - CKD+IF encourage <strong>conscious and sensible<\/strong>\u00a0fitness training from lens of <strong>productivity<\/strong>, not egoism intensity. So\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">how intense should one train? If an ideal answer hovers somewhere between \"not too intense\" yet \"not too light\" - then it make sense overall use of \"<strong>time\" is the more important factor. <\/strong>Because \"time\" underlies everything we accounted for everywhere in <strong>life<\/strong>. Hence productivity through time under tension, limited rests (&lt;1 minute). 5x5 to 8x8 volume training.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Which is more productive. 1). Five minutes of rest <em>waiting<\/em>, ambivalent whether or not one should do that next 9\/10 RPE scale rep max. Or 2). five minutes grinding the entire exercise from easy <em>first<\/em> then\u00a0<em>total<\/em> exhaustion. <strong>The latter is arguably more productive.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><em>Train Intently, not intensely, Give yourself a <strong>reason<\/strong> to live by way of reduced inputs. Then the <strong>reason<\/strong> to live becomes that much more routinely <strong>special. Yet never routinely be drowned in boredom.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/sn3301files.storage.live.com\/y4mYV6M8bVS_Hlk8KyWknCRW3gNsOaixxipr8BqDkMfOgVUatk2SJ1I5b0ZJC-wVCeanNaHwN741qkRnWHO4Bj5PEL-wYx2PH0ZoeHTj9qUTBe7xzHXZY8YnaDyDjkD6XSaynl-ahQT7Qz9pxD7ZCuf9qk-nPMoGEPNE2nAAO7-TuFC7MQeU5Axku-DQuIoSpnV?width=1280&amp;height=768&amp;cropmode=none\" alt=\"The case for Cyclical Keto + IF - Part 2 of 2.\" width=\"1280\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>\"Where and how does CKD+IF fit into the context of Nutritional frugality?\"<\/h2>\n<p>CKD+IF respects scientific autonomy and conscientiously; in respect to Economics.<\/p>\n<p>Carbohydrates are easiest to overeat to the point of metabolic harm, but abundant and affordable. Proteins are versatile for enabling gluconeogenesis at sustaining life, but can be moderately expensive to afford if limited in diversity. Fats despite seen as most financially expensive it is most calorically valuable macronutrient to avoid starvation. CKD+IF encourages one to remain metabolically unbiased; by partitioning certain macronutrients on certain days amidst deficits - particularly in-between fats vs proteins; the latter being arguably more valuable. And saving the rest ~ for brief yet generous personal salvation.<\/p>\n<p>In a depleted state, refeeding on <em><strong>simple sources - <\/strong>dextrose, liquid sugars, maltodextrin were <\/em>common directives (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Underground-Bodyopus-Militant-Weight-Recomposition\/dp\/0965310701\">Duchaine, D. 1995<\/a>). Then as insulin sensitivity declines - \"solid\" foods may proceed as starches, cereals and grains. Indeed, dextrose and liquid sugars sound highly unappetising, even though it guarantees hedonic impact as simple as it gets. But the key take away remains for readers, whom are at least hopefully carrying at least some years of dietary restraints and fitness training behind them ~ \u00a0to ably find out what their trigger foods are. Separate their intakes. Explore their satiety. But at the same time, it is essential to have one \"mediator\" that facilitate our senses to all of this. <strong>And that ~ is resources \/ food availability.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><i>Scarcity for now, abundance for later. CKD+IF \u00a0encourages one to remain conscious with his\/her surroundings. Every fasting or\u00a0refeed days is neither \"reward\" nor \"redemption\". Every fasting day is a celebration of resilience. Refeed days ~ personal salvation.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/sn3301files.storage.live.com\/y4mop5PXPamSvR5O35aBrKpQkZAnPubmgWcJTFc6RDebqPRKh4GhhrbORKTup-N8qqM2gYZ92Q6IKEkmlMQ4bphHgPzdM69NBLSl29J2jBT5TRdVa03-D4zAe3KuchoRGWKy25vZN5Upgx2kPUYLYl-6pm4zqQpBJqiOf-WqrRojDJktlGkCrGZWNU1RnmGSWr0?width=2560&amp;height=768&amp;cropmode=none\" alt=\"The case for Cyclical Keto + IF - Part 2 of 2.\" width=\"2560\" height=\"768\" \/><\/p>\n<h1>Conclusion<\/h1>\n<p><strong>Every virtue spares a vice. And vice versa. <\/strong>Very few, if any - health and fitness \"influencers\" admit this.<\/p>\n<p>None of this, of course is \"easy\". For life to be <strong>meaningful<\/strong>, we must authenticate every rations within us \u00a0~ glycogen, ketones, amino acids to help manifest our own authentic rationality. \u00a0That is what <strong>fasting<\/strong> really means. We are \"<strong>fast<\/strong>\" not because we are \"quick\". We are willing to sacrifice or ably <em>consume or to \"reason\" with ourselves<\/em> <em>onto life's many pursuits<\/em> by grinding through dozens of hours prior; without being consumed <em>by something else.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Generous yet brief. Punishing yet redeeming.\u00a0CKD+IF compels us all to both <strong>contend<\/strong>, and to <strong>work<\/strong> within our own imperfections. Than letting each and every imperfections ~ enslave us all.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>that's it. WIP progress only.
