I went on to trying what would happen from frying a blended cauliflower + xanthan gum + water 1:1 ratio...<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>....and here it is. Low carb faux potato mash. Humility budget approved.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h1>Ingredients &amp; Pricing<\/h1>\n<p>Only three things. 150g Cauliflower. \u00a0Water. And Xanthan Gum. Makes one serve.<\/p>\n<p>If you are one of those people who never visited any non-conglomerate branded fruit\u00a0&amp; veg shops; time to face your own elitist embarrasment. The lowest ever I recorded buying was 1\/2 head of cauliflower at 29 cents each. However good news is that\u00a0<strong>average pricing\u00a0ranges between\u00a0$1 to $1.50<\/strong>. Seasonally speaking - the pricing does not wildly fluctutates that much throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p>The only most expensive investment out of this is Xanthan Gum. At $6.50 at Kakulas\u00ae sisters or any of your local health &amp; wellness store - I guarantee you will not run out of this anytime soon.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>My 500g $20 supply (crazily expensive I know but that's the only brand available in my area) is still lasting for close to one and half years.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Total Initial Purchasing Investment<\/strong> for this recipe is $7 to $8 depending on how resourceful you are in scouting various alternative fruit &amp; veg shops.<\/p>\n<h1>Execution.<\/h1>\n<p>Rice your 150g cauliflower.<\/p>\n<p>I'm using my trusty <a href=\"https:\/\/www.choice.com.au\/products\/home-and-living\/kitchen\/food-processors-mixers-and-blenders\/target-mini-chopper-tarmc30\">$20 Target\u00ae mini food processor<\/a>. My years of history with this processor have not changed. Despite its clunkiness; as I have to literally shake the whole unit to help process the bigger bits altogether nonetheless gets the job done.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/dbpwlw.sn.files.1drv.com\/y4mnJMyQHJdnaBtKHQtTZJXdmWHeg9eaOtUIAJ8hMq8Mq_xoGD9K-Nqha6AiE6sZo0VgqfUr_mFfvtP0GmFNzZi8S1B56MFVHMHw-aVjIm0fTZY3CzWAGsr2glHuT0huUYxRlVet1mu2ZqMsMkmNr1PeaCj6a_gn8eWnoekLJI9UdWJD6m9sXif-LSUq0RtDgNPjY2pD6obUhm4w2TAc1De5w?width=1572&amp;height=844&amp;cropmode=none\" width=\"1572\" height=\"844\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Prep the blender and blend 150g worth of the (riced) cauliflower with 150ml water (1:1 ratio). <\/strong>Add up to 1\/2 tsp of Xanthan Gum, this amount may vary to the thickness of your liking, I find 1\/3 to 1\/2 tsp is suffice to thicken the entire mix.\u00a0<strong>Let it blend for up to a full minute and let it stand for another minute.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nutritional-humility.me\/oxystaging\/\/2017-food-for-thoughts-keto-anniversary-ckd-part-2-3\/\">Recalling from my prior history of protein fluff<\/a> making\/s - Xanthan Gum takes time to \"sludge\" up, but it takes no more than a minute for it to fully settle down.<\/p>\n<p>Get your frying pan with light spray non-stick cooking spray.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Pour in everthing into the pan. Do not stir. let it bubble up on low-medium heat for about two full minutes. <\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/dbpvlw.sn.files.1drv.com\/y4mUDjPuLqSJUWNj2BRsEt-NwuiexZRxS3T9ZYLyap6kX2R3USMzOBgClgGEFK6OYhMIOSlQjre2JJ6HFh9Ei2xone1W5TUCFDY9pK-PlN7MS9G7Azbk6O5akiPkHGU1-iIJCHM3hEdElJfwI3uVkFiU2XVtJyzRs78IC3EwYmLe1OR81zqI7UsFb9MYLwpaOfXq1uM8fnglNga8lay4-aJwA?width=1572&amp;height=844&amp;cropmode=none\" width=\"1572\" height=\"844\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Once you've noticed the amount of liquid have dried up to almost half of the contents, then it's all ready.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Add olive oils, parsley and garlic salt. Done.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Good to know that even when stored in the fridge for some time this does not give off that familiar\u00a0cauliflower \"stench\". Pair it with your beef tri-tip (simply cook that in the oven @ 170 deg for 30 minutes for medium-rare, my preference).
