Live-it-forward\u00a0 ~ AW.<\/h6>\n<h2 class=\"p1\"><b>So how do I individualise this way-of-eating to my preference, needs or circumstances?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Firstly, the importance of defining \"Individualisation\". \u201c<strong>Individualisation<\/strong>\u201d in this context of health and optimisation ~ refers to autonomous decision.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p3\">By the self - to adjust, or to tinker towards a desired result or intent.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Insights, irrespective guided or through self-discovery ~ helps provide anchors for which we then base our <em>individual<\/em><em> decision to act upon. If there is no prior insight,\u00a0 be it metrics, nor anything quantifiable ~ or even holistic subjective experiences which we can draw or infer from ~ <strong>then sadly there'd be nothing meaningfully anew .\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><strong>Any findings or \"inputs<\/strong>\u201d is after all\u00a0 better, than nothing at all. So here are two (2) possible ways how we can address our decision making to <strong>individualise<\/strong> - our way of eating.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-11078\" src=\"http:\/\/nutritional-humility.me\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/where-how-shall-we-begin.avif\" alt=\"\" width=\"1040\" height=\"703\" \/><\/p>\n<h1 class=\"p5\"><b>Two (2) possible \"routes\".<\/b><\/h1>\n<p class=\"p3\">First is simply looking at the results (biomarkers or nutrigenomics). Then assess their relevance with conditions that which we sense, and feel, day to day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">The first approach is arguably most \u201cintuitive\u201d, and what This Author (AW) resorted, throughout his years of his own scrutiny. Here, we simply reflect on current insights both objective metrics and subjective (surrogate markers ~ feelings of well being, sufficiency, satiety, psyche\/composure, and fitness \/ training sustainability).<\/p>\n<ol class=\"ol1\">\n<li class=\"li3\"><strong>Observe<\/strong> the results.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0These could be the objective sides - statistics, numbers, bio markers, Nutrigenomics phenotyping, \u00a0etc.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\"><strong>Then Reflect ~<\/strong> upon their impacts. Sleep quality. Nutrition sufficiency \/ satiation. Psychological composure - emotional and stress handling. Training \/ fitness ~ sustainability, and recoverability.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"p3\">Evaluate. Do they \u201cmake sense\u201d with our own day to day - motion of living?\u00a0 <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">If somethings adds up, but not in others ~ scrutinise. Cumulatively, we would have enough evidences to base and inform how we should make changes or alteration on this WOE \/ Way of eating from there onwards.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Alternatively - a (repurposed) <strong>SMART<\/strong> criterion approach is another option. This provides a map of questions, to help us chart our decision.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Here we are slightly rewording the (famous) <strong>SMART<\/strong> acronym. More or less similar in their intention in this context of \"management\" however more towards anchoring our decision to that of nutritional and psychosocial criterias.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"ol1\">\n<li class=\"li3\"><b>SPECIFIC<\/b> ~ am I changing this diet or nutrition - to any specific basis or reasoning? Do I have a readily or intuitively ~ specific reason to make this alteration over a period of time?<\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\"><b>MANAGEABLE<\/b> ~ am I able to manage or maintain this overall plan of prospective changes, overtime?<\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\"><strong>ADAPTABLE<\/strong> ~ in turn, am I able to adapt to more unforeseen circumstances, if any that may arise?<\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\"><strong>REALISTIC<\/strong> ~ Are these actually doable? Am I confident making and living with - these changes? Can I contain or \u201cdamage control\u201d any unwanted events? If so, on the topic of contingents ~ what supplements if any would I need to consider? And;<\/li>\n<li class=\"li3\"><strong>TIMELY<\/strong> ~ in retrospect from all prior months (or years) of \u201cdieting\u201d or exclusion \/ reinclusion experiences - am I comfortable at staying patient?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h1 class=\"p7\"><b>Conclusion<\/b><\/h1>\n<p class=\"p3\">In all realms of health and wellness, making \"changes\" is synonoymous with forming an internal rapport, (or \"pledge\" as one may say) as an exercise in autonomy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Making \"Changes\",\u00a0 irrespective is not one way ticket towards one (1) experience of just positive, without their negatives.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\"><b><i>Which ever way or \u201croute\u201d one base their decisions to individualise\u00a0 ~ one thing is certain. Revise. Reflect. Repeat. <\/i><\/b><i>Unlike machines or objects, us humans, or organisms - <\/i><i>there is just no \"substitute\" to life than making the very best we're dealt with.
